Chapel Hill, NC 1985 Rob Ladd, Don Dixon and P. Hux in ME & DIXON. Dixon was known as the Godfather of the North Carolina scene. The talented bassist, singer and songwriter was not only one of the state's most popular musicians, he was everybody's first choice for producer. Hux for a few years (that's Rob on "Guest Host For The Holy Ghost" on Sunny Nights) and wound up recording with Alanis Morrisette and touring with the likes of Susanna Hoffs and Don Henley. Me & Dixon toured the Eastern U.S. with Tommy Keene and Let's Active. A tape of their show at the legendary 40 Watt Club in Athens, Georgia is around somewhere... |
