Where did the time go?

Jeez. I haven't posted anything in a while.  Sorry about that. Life can really ignore the internet sometimes.

April and May went by in a blur of travel and gigs: Florida, Illinois, Oklahoma, Argentina, Chile, Kentucky, Iowa, California, Tennesee. I honestly think our body/minds are not set up to deal with so much travel in such a compressed time. I found myself walking the streets of Louisville, KY thinking, "Wait a minute. I'm pretty sure these same feet were in Santiago, Chile just a week ago."

In Chile one week..

I think of jet-lag as soul-lag. That first day in a far-away time zone can be so strange.  You feel disoriented, tired, out of it. You're not yourself. And if you're not yourself, than, logically your self must be elsewhere. I like to picture The Self crossing time zones at a leisurely, less than jet-speed pace, saying, "I know you're already in Argentina, body. I'll see you when I get there." And then the next day, you feel like yourself again. Self finally made it.

…California the next.
